Hi Shockwaves-

If your athletes competed in the 2020 XC season, we are planning an award banquet for our lime green XC Warriors on Sunday January 17th. Exact time and location are TBD at this point. We plan to hold the event at an indoor location that will allow for social distancing or at an outdoor location with heaters. If we can’t accomplish either, our backup plan may be to hold a modified awards event at the conclusion of one of our weekend bonus practices and the back up plan to the back up plan may be a Zoom/Google meet awards event.

Your Shockwaves deserve recognition for a terrific season full of both outstanding individual and team efforts, so please continue with the theme of our season and this entire year and be flexible.

However it works out, it will take place on the 17th of January.

Special note, if the Bears/Packers or my Seahawks are playing in a playoff game on Sunday the 17th, we’ll make adjustments on the time to avoid football playoff interference…if there was an 11th commandment, I am pretty sure it would have stated something to the effect of “thou shall not schedule events on football playoff weekends that interfere with scheduled games times”.
