The Freese family is coming through on their way to their next Air Force Assignment out east. For all our current families who don't know the Freeses, I would love for you to meet them because they started Shockwaves in 2019 until the Air Force made them move to Virginia in 2021(?) The last time we saw them was on their way to an assignment in Spokane in 2023 in the featured image.

Practice on Wednesday July 8 is going to be a mini meet reunion with the Freeses.

We might have some boring races but back on the schedule will be:
Banana Relay Race - Now with more bananas!

Blindfolded Parent Race - Hopefully we have fewer deaths and injuries this time. Coach Shannon is back to eating solid food again.

LAST SHOCKWAVE STANDING. I think I've figured out a way to do this with carved out breaks so it is a little more humane and athletes can last longer in the race.

The last couple times we've played Last Shockwave Standing have been amazing finishes with A LOT of gutsy performances. There are few things in this world I love more than a good Last Shockwave Standing.

I have needed to get this announcement out for forever, so here it is.

Coach Nick and Lorelai (and maybe Penelope) will be racing with us Tuesday July 7 in South Milwaukee and Thursday July 9 in Racine if the schedule works out for all of us.

I should have done this first thing in the morning because now I'm too excited to sleep.
